Project Food Forest is seeking approximately five dedicated and passionate individuals to help steer the organization as we fulfill our mission of empowering people to feed themselves through agroforestry, edible landscape design, and education.
If you want to build real examples of sustainable agriculture, increase wildlife habitat in the city, help all people feed themselves, and work to relieve burdens on our taxes, our land, and our farmers; then we strongly urge you to consider joining our board.
Obligations include attending regular meetings and showing dedication though donation and volunteering for tasks other than routine work associated with the director’s position. We ask you volunteer around 2 hours a week on average (some weeks will be more, some will be less). The donation should be an amount that is significant to you. Board member term length is two years.
Board member or leadership experience with a non-profit organization and/or a degree in business or nonprofit management is required.
Valued skills and knowledge include entrepreneurship, fundraising, permaculture, community connections, and nonprofit law.
Our organizational values are reliability and resilience, community and knowledge, fairness, sustainability, diversity, responsibility, and respect. All of our decisions must align with these values.
Please send resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
