We are excited to announce a new partnership with Minnehaha Conservation District! Minnehaha Conservation District was created in 1941 to administer soil, water, and related resource conservation within the boundaries of Minnehaha County in southeastern South Dakota. The conservation district’s mission is closely related to our values, and will be an excellent resource for us in the future.
In every design or consultation we prepare for clients, we recommend MCD as a resource for many of the plants included in the design. They offer trees and shrubs that are either native or very hardy to the area, and many of them are edible and/or medicinal, and they are very cost effective. Here is the list of plants they typically sell. Their deadline to order was yesterday (3/9/17), but John says they’ll accept late orders for another week or so.
If you decide to order this year, make sure you sign the pledge to plant!
